Turkish students visiting local schools

Duygu Başsoy and Beyza Aygün are two Turkish students currently learning at our college (Department of English and Department of Pedagogy) on exchange under Erasmus+ program. Last week they visited two of our partner secondary schools in Dukla and Krosno (‘Elektryk’). Underneath is their brief report on the visit and several photos.

Introducing Türkiye to Polish Students

As part of my Erasmus program in Poland, I had the opportunity to conduct a cultural presentation for high school students. This event took place at two different high schools in Poland, where I introduced the students to various aspects of Turkish culture. The presentation aimed to share information on traditional foods, drinks, desserts, and popular tourist destinations in Türkiye. After the informative session, the students were invited to engage in activities that allowed them to practice English while learning more about Türkiye.

While the students shared their thoughts and asked questions about Turkish culture, I learned some information about Polish culture, as well. So, this event gave us the opportunity to exchange ideas and our cultures. The event was a great experience in my whole life, since I had the chance to introduce my culture to Polish students. I am grateful that mutual respect lasted throughout the event. I really enjoyed being a part of this educational experience.
